The Change of My Work
My Work sets up pillows as the main motif. The shape of pillows means dreaming comfortable rest and tomorrow’s hope, sharing a love with each other leaned against, and recharging energy.
Now, such shape of pillows has been transformed into the long oval shape of Jukbuin(Dutch wife). This shape originates from the shape of Wish Jukbuin on which the wish papers used as performance art materials are fully hung.
After such form of Jukbuin was expressed simply in the form of initials, recently such form is expressed in the form of stroke drawing work combining the letters of the 12 Zodiacs, because such stroke drawing technique expresses the flow of time like a diary without painting over to resemble the shape of pillows containing the records of life like a time capsule. Again, this stroke work is also developed in parallel with the form of calligraphy carving (wood carving) and the casting technique printing the calligraphy carving on Hanji (Korean paper). This work will present another direction of experimental expression method.
