EXCERPT FROM EXHIBITION PROLOGUE
Spring as a season is a process of awakening, out of deep slumber and it is a sign of life after a lasting winter. In such framework spring has significant resemblance to the condition of the artists who is emerging out of long slumber as she sits in front of the canvas. Chung found inspiration from a spring sun soaked maidenhair tree she stumbled upon, and sat in front of canvas with images of spring leaves and shimmering glow of life. Canvas was then filled with harmony of brush strokes and random effects from dripping technique.
